While I have several of those as well, I'm a recent convert to clip-on tuners, specifically, the Snark. This sells for like $12 US in the States, and since it works on vibrations, your guitar doesn't to be plugged in at all, or if it is, you can have the volume down and still tune.

Hm, I've used one of those but never thought of buying one myself. They sure are a lot cheaper than the Boss TU-3 for example. Next time I'm in a music shop I'll buy one of them. They should be very handy in a live situation.
