SSG10-Week20 Rockin' Hair

http://soundclick.com/share.cfm?id=11503032

[Three! Dot! One! Four! One! x2]

Hey Tony,
The year is 2024 kids don't have a clue
They shave their heads bald and dye them cobalt blue
Back in the day we grew our hair long
Leather and spandex; heavy metal songs

Chorus
Rockin' Hair! Rockin' Hair!
Rock those locks; yeah Rockin' Hair!
Rockin' Hair! Rockin' Hair!
Rockin' with a 1980s flare
Rock, Rock, Rock, Rockin' Hair!

Yeah Man,
Twisted Sister, Quiet Riot, Ratt, Poison, too
White Snake, Stryper, Kixx, and Motley Crew
Up at night; we watched them all
On MTV Head Banger's Ball

chorus

Time for some “air” guitar (solo)

Well Tony
We maybe two old farts on Medicare
With gray pony tails and electric wheel chairs
The spandex still works; fits me good, my friend
Hey Man, that's not spandex
You forgot your pants again

chorus

That's hilarious. I love it.

Hey Man, that's not spandex
You forgot your pants again "

You really think Medicare will be around in 2024? God I hope so.

As always, a pleasure James!

How'd you get the voice for the chorus section?

Peace

Just get a scowl on your face....pinch your eyes tight like you are in pain.....don't drink water before you hit the record button......get a growlish-whisper in your voice.....lean in close to the mic to distort the signal....channel in some metal singers into your memory bank......Presto! LOL

Wow! It's such a departure from your "usual" voice that I was wondering if you brought in a ringer. Too cool!

Used to be (and still might, depending on the artist) that singers would use different voices for different characters in songs. Ray Davies of the Kinks and David Bowie were exceptionally good at it. And so, I might add, is our very own Nick Torres. You're in a good crowd!

Peace

Hilarious! I've told old friends that we would be sitting in rocking chairs on the porch of a retirement home listening to the Stones.
