GN Blues Brothers & Sisters Blues Review

Postby Dan T. » October 28th, 2006, 8:03 am

Welcome to Dan’s Open Mic! There’s no cover charge, so come on in, sit back & enjoy the show!

Tonight we are pleased to present the “Guitar Noise Blues Brothers & Sisters Blues Review”:

http://www.soundclick.com/bands/pageart ... dID=619311

First up we have Brother Smokindog & his smokin’ lead guitar! Tone to the bone baby! (0-59)

Next up is Brother Celt with alittle acoustic slide & down home soul! Jam it brother! (59-1:45)

Taking the spotlight next is Brother Bish, (The Professor), off the drums & banging out some tasty licks! (1:45-2:31)

Stepping forward at stage right, and having the honor of being GN’s 1st ever female jammer, it’s Sister Margaret! Play it sister, play it! (2:31-3:18 )

Next is yours truly, Brother Dan T., (or Mr.T to you!), “I pity the fool who don’t dig the blues!!!” (3:18-4:04)

And bringing it all home, we have a rare treat & privilege to introduce Sister Karen teaching us some righteous blues piano, and our fearless leader, (fresh from his sold out book signing tour!), Brother David on guitar & Banjo! Bring us all home you blues cats! (4:04-End)

Sounds really good!

It has a very down home feel to it.

The Ladies both have a lot of soul. 8)

I would make one suggestion though.

The transition between my part and Bish is a little rough.
I would suggest you either edit the last note of my part or
use some fade out and/or some
fade in on that area.

Just a though.

Good Job Everybody

John

Wow, gang, that was pretty darn neat.

Lots of tasty grooving by everyone.

This was the most diverse group I've jammed with yet. Everyone's part was so different but well blended in the overall picture.

Congrats Margaret on your first GN jam!

You all rock.

Hey, that came out pretty cool! 8) Love the variety in tones and styles.

Thanks for all the congratulations! I actually survived my debut! Woohoo!

Thanks, Dan, for doing such a great job of hosting and coordinating us!

Good playing and most important of all, very nicely put together.(Considering the fact that the jammers don't get to hear what the others are cookin')

So we have the maximum no. of people jamming this time - seven.

Yes, don't count out the piano too !

Awesome guys, everyone sounded great.

Smokindog, as usual you sounded awesome. I'd love a lesson buddy.

Really cool piano solo, wasn't expecting that... I wish I had a piano player to play with :(

Nice job everyone! :D

Thanks Ken, I will definately be hosting more! 8)

Well, I hope everyone is satisfied with the overall editing job. Still haven't heard from everyone that participated, so I hope it's ok. Feedback is always nice. John & Margaret, thanks for the ideas & tips.
Overall, this being my 1st time hosting a jam, I had alot of fun, and learned alot of useful information & techniques. Everyone was a pleasure to work with, and that helped alot. :D Thank you all! 8)
