Post your gear

Post by yoyo286 » March 17th, 2005, 8:22 pm

Since I haven't seen one of these(maybe I'm not looking in the right section) and I don't have any real gear to post(except my trusty Seagull M6, which is at the repair shop getting set up.) I should make one of these.

We have the same gear then. Just a Seagull M6 Gloss. I have a crappy Kona KP1 that sits in a corner but never gets played. That is about it.

BTW guys, I got my Seagull back and it plays better than any acoustic under $1000 IMHO. It's a dream, I played a bizzilion guitars, and I knew that I was gonna get a Seagull, because they sounded so much better than the rest, and then I found this. Lucky it was at the top of all the other guitars, so nobody else probably bothered to try it out. This is like a
musical explosion for me! :)

My aweful guitar experience

Post by PlayGuitar » March 18th, 2005, 11:57 am

For a long time, I just played this acoustic guitar that must have been handmade by some thumbless blind lumberjack or something because it cracked nonstop, in all these weird places, and I kept trying to seal them and, meanwhile, the guitar kept getting worse and worse sounding. It just broke my heart to hear my music butchered like that so now I'm borrowing my bro's guitar until I can buy a decently-made one. Any suggestions?

hrm... I've been playing through a lot of my buddy's equipment recently... have to think for a second as to what's actually mine!

Some Takamine acoustic, E series.
Gibson Les Paul Studio
Peavey C30
Morley MT Power Wah
RP50
Some Yamaha keyboard
Almost forgot, my old Cort bass

Hmm, I guess that's it... at the moment. Sold off a bunch of stuff to get started on my recording equipment. I'm just playing the LP through the Peavey when I practice anyhow... forgot I still had that RP50 until I looked over there... :?

Thanks a lot guys, I appreciate the suggestions!
Now.... you're right... I have to find a job to pay for a good guitar.
They're a bit expensive for me but next time my choice is between rent and music, I'll know what's worth it!
