Vic the recording is fine. I just meant that personally I find it much easier to pick out higher notes than the lower ones.

Not a major..... I'll have to have another listen! 8)

I'm not sure but could be Bm7 barred at 7th fret?

Seems that B note, 7th fret, 1st string is putting everyone off....it's not a minor 7th either, but that's closer.....

Clue? Think Clapton/Harrison songwriting collaboration.....

Uff! :(

The song could be 'Badge'. I think it is chord played when the song is 'suspended' (sorry I don't know how to explain it).

I don't know the chords used in that song but I don't want to look for it, I have to use my ears! :D

Second try: Could be Em barred at 7th?

Nope. It's a minor something-0r-other, but the barre is NOT at the 7th fret, and only two other strings are played, both at the same fret.....you should be able to narrow it down from previous replies now.

It's the bottom notes that are tripping me up too. My best guess though is a Am7(add9).

Perhaps with a partial-barre on the 5th fret and then some thumb action on the low E ala:

5-0-5-5-5-7

I only came up with this weird fingering because when you arpeggiate the chord, I hear an A happening twice in the bass, though I could be way off.

Jason, you're soooooooooo close - it's more straightforward than that...it's a full barre.....and only one string is wrong....even the chord name's almost there.....

Hmmm...perhaps:

5-7-5-5-5-7

Though I can't think of a better name...unless you want to call it Am7(add2) instead? (Though the 2 and the 9 are just octaves of each other),

Got it! It's an Am9....I'd never heard of it myself till Wes Inman tabbed out "Badge" for the ESD....

575557 - notes are A, E, G, C, E, B....for a minor 9th you need the 1st, b3rd, 5th, b7th and 9th of the scale, so for Am9 you'd need A(1st), C(b3rd), E(5th) G(b7th) and B(9th.)

In "Badge" it's the chord that ends each verse....

(C)And I'm thinkin 'bout the (Am)love that you made on my ta(Bm7)ble.......(Am9)

:D :D :D
