ok... hers the deal

i need to put together a good but cheap basic digital studio. I need a few mics, a mixer, a good sound card, and a PC mixing Program. I could probobly get together from 500 to 1000 dollars. What could i get for that price? I dont need a burner... thats about all... thaknks alot

Go buy yourself a copy of Computer Music magazine.  IT comes with a CD full of free mixing, editing and soft synth stuff.

Mics, get a couple of Shure 58 - $100 each.

Good sound card, terratec makes a good one, and I like the creative audigy 2 ex platinum.

Mixer?  you can use your pc...
