Minidisc recording

I want to record onto a minidisc with just a microphone but my player only has an optical input and i dont have (and dont know if i can get) an optical microphone.

can u suggest any equipment i can use or an alternative method of recording.

What brand is your Minidisc player?   I've never heard of one that has digital inputs only.  All the ones I've seen have audio inputs and outputs as well as digital inputs and outputs.

If that is the case, the only hope is to use your pc and get yourself a sound card with an optical connection and output via that to the minidisc.
I started with nothing - and I've still got most of it left.
Did you know that the word "gullible" is not in any dictionary?
