Need Help on Recording Demo w/laptop

Post by Shiningstar19 » September 1st, 2003, 9:09 pm

Hey everyone!
I am just trying to find out some info about recording a demo with my laptop.
I need to know what equipment I need, and am on a tight budget.
I have songs that i have written and i want to get them out, and don't have the money to go to a professional studio to do it.
So any info you can give me would be extremely helpful.
THANK YOU ;D

For your laptop you'll need:

some decent software, Sony Music Studio or Acid 4.0 are good choices.

An external sound card, USB

A decent mic, shure 57 or 58
