SSG Year 10 Week 31

The Sunday Songwriters club is a stretching exercise for your mind. Arpeggios for the brain cells, so to speak. After all, writing is like playing - to get better, you have to practice.

SSG Year 10 Week 31

Postby dhodge » June 5th, 2012, 5:53 am

Hi

Consider me the last minute substitute! No worries 'bout ol' Nick - just a bit overwhelmed at the moment. He'll be with us anon, as the poets say.

So, the true goal of a substitute is to either have no one notice and to have life go on as before or, even more ideally, to have life go on in a mysteriously better way without associating the "better" with the substitute. Kind of like life, no?

And that, fellow SSGers is our topic for what's remaining of the week. We're going to carry on, as it were, with the normal routine of life even though something is missing or totally different. I'm sure you can come up with all sorts of ideas from this one.

Looking forward to reading and to listening to your work.

Peace
