Is the DVD region coded i.e. region 1 DVDs are for the US and region 4 is for Australia?
(I bought a guitar DVD (30 Day Guitar Workout) from Amazon yesterday without thinking and by the time I checked the region code they had already shipped. I just hope at least one of the computers or DVD players in the house can play region 1.)

"The Australian Competition and Consumer Commission (ACCC) has warned that DVD players that enforce region coding may violate the Trade Practices Act.[7][8][9] The government of New Zealand is also considering a similar ruling.[10] This, supposedly, means that all DVD players sold in their territories have to be region-free."

So, I'm pretty sure I now have a region free disc, but I don't know how to be positive of that. Does anyone know how to check to see if that's true? I know I could sent it to greybeard in Germany, but that's a lot to do to maybe then find out it didn't work.
