No it's not.....I was using an Epi LP then I changed to a Strat just to see if it was the guitar.....same results

I have a Marshall AVT 50.....& rarely play out & am guilty for letting it sit unused for long periods of time. Anyway, when I finally do decide to play, I'll be pickin' away & the sound would die.....cut out & you could hardly hear it......It may do this several times intermittently and stay off for...

My hands are pretty messed up, especially my fret hand.....
it has cubital tunnel, carpal tunnel & arthritis.
I will tell you you are better off using them then losing them.
The arthritis & cubital are the pits for me....

I also have a regular 6 string Guild D55......I use light Phosphor Bronze EXP's on it & have no problem with tunings like: Drop & Double Drop D, Open D, DADGAD, DADDAD, Open G.....it works well. I've done with a twelve string that had light gauge phospher bronze.
I tuned it down to play Leo Kottke stuff. I believe he does it often but with med strings........
It sound OK on that old beater I have.

I have a LP Standard. Bought it about the same time as Nuno......The only complaint would have been, I needed some pencil graphite on the bottom 3 string nut......Doyle Dykes showed that lil trick during a Taylor seminar....great show BTW. Although the pickup sound was pretty good.....I put 57 Gib H...
