The Mark Tremonti Cry-Baby wah pedal shuts off when not in use, that's why it was a big deal, but that pedal is far beyond my financial capablities :-P.

Well, for me there's only one possible place, between the guitar and amp since the distortion is a built into the amp, but i'll try using a distortion pedal and seeing how it sounds. Thanks, and i'll remember that when i buy a newer, better amp.

Well, i personally think there are too many pedals in general around today, by that i don't mean types of pedals like chorus, distortion and so forth, i mean brands. I got my chorus pedal really cheap and it works fine and sounds wonderful. I wouldn't recommend buying any online since you don't full...
