When I rode a Honda, Harley riders bashed it. I eventually got me a harley, and now the Honda oweners I know bash it. At the end of the day, it only matters who had the most fun doing what they do.

Oh, and I love my Epi. :)

Based on the comments, I have decided to plan out which songs I will learn completely. I've chosen some accoustic, electric hard rock and classic rock to start with. We'll see how that goes. The funny thing is, after creating the list, it looks like I've learned a good portion of 26 songs.

OK, so I'm a bit late. Was out of town. I messed around with it again tonight, taking the advice to crank down the distortion. It made things better. Not great, but better. As such, being that it is a practice amp/toy and it is pretty fun to mess around with, I'm keeping it.

Horrible Learning Habits

First off, I'm having loads of fun. It's been 20 months since I got my first guitar and have been off and running. That brings me to my first bad habit. #1: Too much time off. I bet I've not touched the guitar for a few months at a time on a few occasions. When I get back into it, it's like I have t...

Yeah, that interface. I guess considering it really is a software product, it isn't too bad. I'm old. I like knobs. Funnny thing is, I am a software engineer. You'd think I was all about the tech interface. Mushin, I checked out that forum as well as another. A lot of information. Thanks for the tip...

I guess the "I hate the way it sounds" part is pretty vague. What I dislike about the sounds are the same things I dislike about my Line 6. That digital sound. The emptiness. This is particularly evident on anything with distortion, and regarless of which guitar I plug in. It just sounds fake. Don't...

G-DEc - Love or Hate???

I received a Fender G-DEC as a gift. I'm trying to determine if I like it or not. I break away from the norm when I say that I hate the way it sounds. I also hate the interface. (I don't have all day to fiddle with settings) The thing I like about it is that I can feed the amp backing tracks and pla...

This is going to sound strange, but do not put that kind of pressure on yourself. Step #1, have fun. Don't worry about how you are progressing or how long it will take to learn a particular song. Don't worry about how long it takes to read TAB like a pro. Go ahead, pick a song. Learn some of it. Lea...

Ibanez's little product manual actually has a useful instruction & picture for the various tremelo systems. My Rg320 came with an extra spring. Don't know if yours does. I stuck with the 9's on mine, but did have to tighten the tension a bit to be able to tune it. It was a breeze.

String Replacement - Taylor 214

I've got a Taylor 214 that's about 3 months old. It came equipped with Elixor(sp?) strings. It has a great sound to it and don't want to lose it. It's not time to change them yet, but I get a sense that it's not too far down the road. So, my question is two part. Does anyone know what weight string ...

Well, this has been an interesting couple of weeks. I've read the general advice about finding a guitar that feels right and sounds like you want it to sound, but never felt it in anything I picked up beyond minor differences. I went to the store to try out the ones suggested in the replies (Thanks ...

Looking For New Acoustic Advice

Hi All, I've been learning on an electric for about 8-10 months. It's been fun so far, but a couple of the songs that I'm trying to learn were done with Acoustic. I've been looking around in the $400 range and came across a Ibanez AW300, and am leaning towards that one. Has anyone played this, or ha...
