Re: Home practice area - what does yours look like?

alright...here's mine. I recently bought a used Carvin v3 from a guy. This thing is is awesome. The cab is not mine. It belongs to my former guitar teacher. Has some "Marshall by Celestion" speakers with Green cones on them. I hear that's pretty old and the predecessor to the greenback speakers. I'l...

Re: Home practice area - what does yours look like?

I am renting a house. as long as you have spackle and the same color of paint that matches the room, you should be fine. That's what I have for when i move out

Re: i got a new guitar!

Re: Distortion pedals

I really love the valveking 112 that I have. It has many features - and I believe that the 212 has more options with presence and resonance. The one thing that bothered me with mine was that the speakers don't sound very good with it once you crank up the volume. Many forums have suggestions on spea...

Re: Distortion pedals

it's really a matter of preference. Some like to use an amps overdrive/distortion channel and some like pedals. Having been a superchamp XD owner and having a Gibson SG faded, I know that you can get a lot of sounds out of that. There are some good voices for classic rock on there. Some say that it ...

Re: Strat replacement bridge?

wow scrybe! Thank you very much! I'm definitely saving those pages for later use. I actually already have the Schaller Locking tuners (in brushed chrome) on my strat, so that wasn't an issue. The first thing I did was tighten the bridge screws on the strat. After that, I tried retuning to a few diff...

Re: It's 1 louder...

a compressor is a great pedal to have for sure. I actually just upgraded to a Keeley compressor from a Dynacomp. This squishy-ness was really annoying my on the cleans. Never thought i would spend that much money on a pedal, but it's amazing at what it does...and very pretty!

first live performance!

Hey all, My band had it's first live performance at an open jam at a local music store. We played a couple of upbeat modern rock songs. I didn't include the video of Finger Eleven - Paralyzer on the site because the vocalist forgot a few lines in the middle of it. It was a good first performance and...
