Re: The Rosetta Stone of Guitar

Hello Rgalvez, It's hard for me to tell for sure if I've made any changes since you bought. The last major work I did on it was when I created all the separate modules you see listed across 1-9. Since then I haven't done any really big work on it. I moved the original text file into the lessons wind...

Re: The Rosetta Stone of Guitar

Dearest Guitarnoise community members, I have just been shocked back to life by the compliments and excitement of Bigfoot21075. He wrote a great message in my forum and I was inspired to reply with everything I had...a bit of an explosion of enthusiasm for the mysteries of the instrument we have in ...

Re: The Rosetta Stone of Guitar

Dear guitarnoise friends, Okay! I'm about to switch everything on my site http://www.rsoguitar.com back to "pay the bills" mode. I've had everything there open free for viewing for many months now. I'd like to thank everyone who contributed to editing all that new material by giving me contructive a...

Re: The Rosetta Stone of Guitar

Yawl, I just added some rough drafts of some jazzy chord progressions where you get to see the key/scale changes happen underneath the chords. I really think a lot of people don't or have a hard time seeing/imagining how might look and so, they don't understand the options available to them. I think...

Re: The Rosetta Stone of Guitar

Hello everyone! I just thought I'd give you some rsoguitar related news. For some months now I've had my newest material up on my site for all to see for free. Part of this purpose is to get some feedback on any glitches that might pop up when using the modules I've made. I wouldn't want to sell the...

Re: The Rosetta Stone of Guitar

Dear guitarnoise community, Good day fellow guitarists! I have been working for what seems like such a very long time trying to create and upgrade my teaching materials. I'm still pretty much right in the middle of creating a bunch of new modules, but I've decided to just put what I have up for peop...

Re: The Rosetta Stone of Guitar

Just thought I'd follow up with a progress report. I have been working very hard at sort of giving my old material a face lift as well as breaking new ground. As for new stuff, I'm working on a sequence of modules that really capitalize on the rSoGuitar way of seeing music theory. It's all about eff...

Re: The Rosetta Stone of Guitar

Yes! I have an update for you. I've actually been slaving away, for many months, at pushing this method forward. I finally, recently, had to just take a break from it all to clear my head. What I have just about completed at this point is a newly shined up version of what I already had, but in a muc...

Re: The Rosetta Stone of Guitar

I just thought I would let everyone know that I have added a printable form that I use all the time to get my students to master projecting the pattern onto the fretboard. If you've already purchased a copy of the DVD/program, you can still access the printable form if you visit my website: http://w...

Re: The Rosetta Stone of Guitar

Here is a tip for any of you who are getting annoyed with all the "fancy" background noises on my website and on the DVD. I wish I had made it more obvious how to mute them. Just click on the little box in the lower right corner and they will toggle off and on.

Re: The Rosetta Stone of Guitar

Alright, I talked to my Finnish buddy and he gave me a couple of links. I checked out a program that is supposed to be able to set the region and encrypt it to be region free. So, I'm pretty sure I now have a region free disc, but I don't know how to be positive of that. Does anyone know how to chec...

Re: The Rosetta Stone of Guitar

Well, I'm with the ACCC on this one. From now on I'm going to do whatever it takes to make sure my discs are encoded for region 0, or "region free".

Re: The Rosetta Stone of Guitar

This problem is a new one to me. I still don't completely understand what it is, but I think I'm getting closer. So, is it a setting I need to set in my burner program? Set it to 0 for international...is that what I'm hearing? Unfortunately I have sold a whole handful to other regions over time. Thi...

Re: How have you used the "Speed Mechanics" book?

I just wanted to comment on how true it is, what Wes Inman said about laying off an exercise and actually getting better at it after taking a break from it. I have marvelled over and over about this trippy phenomenon. I think it's like your mind actually works on understanding it while you're not lo...

Re: The Rosetta Stone of Guitar

I've been wanting to respond to these two great comments about other systems that use "generic" naming to deal with note/interval names. One of them is the "Do Re Mi Fa So La Ti Do" (Solfege) thing, and the other is the I, ii, iii, IV...thing. I think they are both very useful and I've used them mys...
