thanx for your reply, I'm gonna change that line, the swift as a bird fits indeed!

As for the recording, for me it's just too much repetition, but I was too tired to make something different to go along with it... And I can't keep the rhythm :S But yeah, it's functional to show ya how I meant it :)

I've uploaded an MP3 of it to my soundclick. But as to warn you on forehand: the regs may have noticed I've been away for a while - in that time I barely practised on my guitar, while my skills weren't that high already... It's just so you have an idea of the flow and such... I'm not happy with the ...

SSG4.14 The Distance (?)

The idea is of someone in a relationship, feeling the distance between the two is getting large… And wondering whether he/she should stay or go… I've put something kinda like a title above it, but I'm not happy with that... I'm open for all comments and suggestions =D The distance You there, up ...

Great work, well done!
At first I didn't like the title, made me think of Chopin's Butterfly Etude. Not that that's not good, but I thought of it as being to commonly used. But yeah, after reading the lyrics, it's a good title, it's what the song's about huh ;)

Intriguing work! Both versions could do, I like the first one best (don't ask why though, just a feeling...) Good luck putting it to music, looking forward to it!

Thanx for your comments guys :) I think I'll keep the idea but try to rewrite it, in an easier way. I figured I'd try to use some more complex English for a change, found all my songs rather easy when rereading them... Easy as in short sentences, not much "difficult" words etc... But I guess simplic...

I love your writing style, the scenery. After reading a few lines I got curious on where he would end. And I guess that's a good thing! It's easy for me to catch a rhytm when reading. I take it as a story about someone who doesn't exactly know what he wants but gets off anyway, hoping he will know w...

SSG4.13

Go easy on me lads (and lasses ;)) Been out of the (songwriting)running quite a while... Seem to have forgotten quite a lot about writing a flowing song and all... Maybe I'll try to record it on friday. But here are the lyrics already for you to shoot at :D Fading Vision Your everyday life seems any...

Thanx for the feedback. I think I'm gonna use both of those suggested titles, naming it after my grandma would add something to the lyrics imo. You're right if you say that the second song isn't really describing the picture. But yeah, it was inspired by it. Made me think of her stories about the wa...

SSG4.2 Still titleless...

I've written two sets of lyrics this time, each based upon a picture. The first one is inspired by a picture I took at the cliffs of Moher in Ireland. The second one is strangely based on a picture of my grandma and her sisters… I was browsing through my pictures to see which one to write about (w...
