Tab software

Can someone tell me what software is used to create the tabs/charts for the lessons here on GN? Really want something I can use to do my own and none of those I've tried have been very satisfactory. Thanks.

David, Ahhh.... I understand now. When you described "parallel movement" I was thinking that you were describing that the fingers picked each string in the same direction as the thumb, i.e. downward. This gave me an image of the fingers picking with the back of the nail, and somehow flicking the str...
