Re: Greco repair

You might have a hard time finding just the arm. But if you can find a compatible model then I'd just buy that and then try to scrap the parts you need.

You might also want to consider replacing the whole bridge, though on a vintage guitar it might be a sentimentally tragic thing to do.

Re: Abnormally high frets? How to fix this problem?

I'd have to hold the guitar myself to actually be able to assess. But it sounds like the neck has warped a bit due to temperature. If you've properly adjusted the truss rod, the nut, and the bridge then honestly the only work around I could think of right now would be to file down the frets that are...

Re: How hard is it to reclaim stolen guitar at guitar center

I would bring the pictures and any other evidence you have to the store and ask to see the owner/manager. Tell then that they're holding your stolen guitar and ask them what they're protocol for that is. It's possible that they won't want to have anything to do with something this controversial, so ...

Re: telecaster strings

If you liked the strings that were on the guitar when you got it, then I'd try to ask the seller for details as to what was on the instrument at the time of purchase.

Those semi-hollow telecasters are definitely nifty, nice taste.

Re: Am I ready to teach guitar?

It sounds like you have enough expertise to be able to teach. But before actually finding students, I would first try to put together a curriculum. Possibly more than one, targeting students of different skill levels. You want to go into lessons prepared. You'll also obviously have to alter lessons ...

Re: Is it possible to play an electric guitar like a classical one?

Alan was pretty spot on. It's entirely possible to play classical guitar on an electric guitar, but it does feel a bit different. Though the differences are not all bad, in fact it can be a lot easier to play classical pieces on electric guitar since the nylon strings on classical guitars can someti...
