Will I ever get the hang of it before I retire in 30+ years?

ha!

Singing seems harder than it should for me I think... I tried to make a more serious song, this is my first attempt. I did everything except the drums.

Re: Which song are you learning right now?

Have a small show next week and need to learn some simple songs: Cocaine, Sharp Dressed Man, Satisfaction, This is Life (George Harrison) and a few others I'm forgetting... Oh brushing up on Day Tripper.

thought I'd share here too, blues scale poster download

You can download PDF yourself to print or use the PNG for whatever... http://stevesmusiclist.com/pentatonic-p ... blue-note/

I used this as it helped me play with some of the cool backing tracks out there!

Cheers

Re: Guitar stands research

For me, my stands are only used while I'm playing guitar and need to rest for a bit. My guitars live in their cases for maximum protection. Only my cheapest guitar (Godin Acoustic 5th Avenue) lives on a stand in my office and I'm about to get a wall mount because my toddler likes to "play guitar" lo...

hahaha yeah sorry about that. I've been practicing some more, I think I'm happy with it now. I'll have to record it with the rhythm in the background.

Re: 3 important topics guitar learners should focus on?

Everything is covered as it seems here but I'll add from my own mistakes. Long story short, I've been playing for a very long time... but never played it good. lol Only recently have I started to focus on it. So with that being said: Have a reasonable goal. In business we call it "SMART" goals which...

Something solo attempt...

So I think I'm pretty close, a few little details here and there and it should be pretty darn close (imo). What do you think? Oh sorry, it's just a webcam recording, I was too lazy to plug my computer into the mixer and all that stuff...

Would like to share some posters with ya

My first ever bass

Didn't realize the pic was so bad, it's basically this: http://www.fender.com/en-CA/squier/basses/jazz-bass/affinity-jazz-bass-rosewood-fingerboard-black/ Never picked up a bass before but learnt an easy one from Queen (Under Pressure), within a few minutes. Bought it for fun and I want to make my o...

Re: Some progress...

Thanks, I am seeing some progress with my playing. I'm hoping to become a decent'ish player in a year or so with my hour/day of practice time and more on weekends. I've listened to this recording a few hundred times and I can hear the bad parts quit obviously now - it will help me to improve....

Help with Studio One and BehRinger x1204USB

Hi everyone, this is my last effort to connect the two before buying an audiobox adapter. Long story short, I have to use Studio One as I'm going to start, for fun, making tunes with friends who lives 5 hours away and that's what they use. I have an existing BehRinger mixer plugged into my macbook P...
