Re: Blues Pedals
probably pointing out the obvious, but MANY MANY pedals on the market are based on the tubescreamer. From boutique to el cheapo. probably because it is a great sounding pedal for bluesy. Stock, it has what a lot of folks want... modified it can do a lot more and in my mind it doesn't really get any ...

Re: Feedback welcomed - New song Wolf
wow, 6 pages of silliness for "do you think hendrix is good or bad" and zero responses to someone actually posting music... I guess we can chalk that up to this being a guitar forum and no apparent guitar in the track you posted. anywho, very well produced. voice is on pitch and has nice tone - who ...

Re: Leslie/B3 sound on guitar
vibe or leslie or chorus with high speed/rate setting is real popular with jazzy/late-nite style players like scofield, henderson, as an alternative to what was already posted.

Re: New Fender
hmm, hard to determine w/o a pic. Usually guitars come with a plastic film that peals off easily but often times that gets removed (by some customer) while hanging on the wall. If that happens, and the next guy try's out the guitar it could have some minor scratching but it shouldn't look like 50 gi...

Re: DIY Pedalboard / Display Plans
right on... appreciate the feedback and offer. hard points: I'd find myself spending soo much time trying to figure out where things were routing every time I changed one pedal or got a bad cable. Hopefully I'm going in a direction that should sidestep that going forward. afa buffers I guess it's in...

Re: DIY Pedalboard / Display Plans
yes, I've got loads of pedals. thank you for bringing up some very valid points that demonstrate "you've been down this road" as well. Very insightful of you. right now, I have several 2/3/4 loop bypass controllers - some with buffers and boosters built in... a few with order switchers, but I've bee...

Re: Fender Neck Width Vs Other Brands Help
first off: just wanted to suggest you look for the fender "HM" series from the eighties or check out some ibanez guitars. both typically have wide string spacing (assuming this is what you want) and you can always find a happy medium by switching out pickups or otherwise modifying the electronics. t...

Re: trying to improve video/audio production
right on brother. all good advice. I use cool edit for my audio. movie maker for the video - but there's a lot of room for improvement there! you said you use corel? hm, was hoping I could find a suggestion in the freeware realm but I guess "you get what you pay for"! Anyone recommend an "easy to us...

Re: DIY Pedalboard / Display Plans
thanks for the response. all good advice. I could easily omit the top row. not to contest - hope it doesn't come off that way, but... I have a 3 tier board right now and don't really have an issue hitting the top row, then again, I am not doing a lot of switching on demand. also it'd have to be pret...

DIY Pedalboard / Display Plans
Just wanted to share my plans for a diy pedalboard... I've actually built one similar but am going to 'redo' a bit smaller and with a few improvements. Def not a portable board... but I don't gig so not an issue for me. My goals were to create something that would look nice, fit a lot of pedals, hav...

Re: Modes and chords
just a suggestion, not to take away from good previous suggestions, it's been my experience that the more perspectives you hear it from the more likely one is to click, so with that in mind... one thing that helped me learn the sound of the modes was to just think of it like this: 1) harmonized chor...

Re: trying to improve video/audio production
actually came in here hoping to see some suggestions as I've been working quite a bit on youtube demos lately. gave a listen to a few of your vids and def some nice guitar playing one thing I noticed, is that the video timing and guitar is off. ie there is lag between what you are playing and what I...

Re: Feedback Please?
I think it's a nice melody/harmony, could sound really nice with some other instrumentation. couple spots where you accidentally hit other strings and such that could be cleaned up with a few more practice runs and then record... or dub in. I def think it's worth continuing to work at so keep at it....
