Re: Strap/Jack

Hmm, the idea of putting holes in my acoustic, however small, worries me. Strange as I thought nothing about routing out a bigger hole for a new humbucker in my electric. There's just something so perfect about about the finish and craftmanship of the acoustic; I'd literally cry if I damaged it. As ...

Strap/Jack

I apologise if this is a stupid question, but I searched back over a couple of months and could find a topic on it. I've got a semi acoustic with a strap thing (technical term) that's also a jack. I've bought a strap for it but the strap thing (pin? peg?) is much bigger than the one on my electric. ...

Re: Missing out on how much, if not taking lessons?

Well, as a young man who pays very little rent i'm happy to spend money on myself (that makes me sound about bit bad, i am actually quite generous, as I have a poor grasp of the value of money. I need to become a rock star before life catches up with me). I pay £9.00 a week for a 45min lesson which...

Re: Missing out on how much, if not taking lessons?

Reading everyone's concerns about money etc is making me wonder if I've got some sort of budget guitar teacher, but anyway... I've been having lessons once a week now for about 11 months. I owned my guitar for a couple of years before that and would periodically decide I was gonna learn. I'd buy a n...

Ello everyone

Just thought I'd say hi. I'm new to this forum and while I cant see me posting often (I'm too much of a novice to discuss complicated subject so will just keep quite for now) I will probably have a few questions from time to time. So to introduce myself, I'm from sunny Swansea in south Wales and I l...

Re: Guitar hero trivia

ahhh, at Robert Johnsons grave (The one ZZ Top bought the headstone for) what do folks lay on the stone to pay their respects? What guage strings did Stevie Ray Vaughan play with? and In the Late 60s, graffitti covered subway walls and bathroom stalls in England. They all had something to say about...
