Re: Help with lyrics

Unsure of the way things are going But don’t worry about those things That nightmare is just a bad dream And a side road of what's to be. And if it was easy, girl, There would be no song, Nothing worthy of singing and nothing worthwhile to recall. Plan for a lifetime together, dear And for granted, ...

Re: Beginner's videos

Hey Dylan

Sorry you abandoned the six string. To me, your journey was epic. :P
I'm still plugging away. This was a song requested by my 2 year old god grand daughter (if that exists).

Re: greetings and learning question

David, I gave Losing My Religion tutorial a try.
One question, you talk about the Bm chord but don't show it in the intro tab.
It sounds like after the D chord, you're alternating between a C chord and the Bm chord. Is that right?

Re: greetings and learning question

David, I have a question on this. If he uses the same fingerings for the guitar chords for a song (as well as arpeggiating the chord if the song calls for it), it will still resemble the original song . . . but just in a different key, yes? Just 5 half notes higher in key? So, for example, The Sound...

Re: I did a bad thing...

I remember when you started posting here. I had just started playing guitar. I liked reading your comments then and now. I'm just hoping you pass on your guitar skills to the twins. I've got two grand nephews, both less than two years old and I've told both their mothers (my nieces) that I'll pay fo...

My brothers and sisters were teasing me about me being mom's favorite . . . "momma's boy" . . . I think was tossed out by one of them . . . I told them I had a song for that . . . https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oMsNEOsurCA&feature=youtu.be&t=8s Played it twice as fast as I should have (to get it ov...

Re: Y12 W14....Dancing With Ghosts.

Hey Vic
Been a long time since I posted.
Glad to see you're songwriting.

I like what you've done here.
It would be nice to hear that.

I noticed you have the second and fourth lines rhyming
all except in the third verse.
Maybe switching the second and third verse to keep it consistent?

Re: Y12 W14

It's been years since I posted, but here's a link to song that was posted by Mesa Monster a few years back. It was something I downloaded and added to my collection of mp3s. I don't know if he is still posting on this forum. When he was looking for a name for the song, I suggested Warlock Waltz. I o...

Re: SSG11-Week20 Polly the Pretty Prep O' Sition

James, this is brilliant. Patty's day . . . you captured the Irish flavor in your song. That alone is an accomplishment. And then the theme on Prepositions . . . your work coming through your play? If it needed another verse (which I don't think it does) "O'er the rainbow" would be my suggestion . ....

Re: Idiot News

Since I have been recently working on Dylan's "'Lay Lady Lay" upon my big brass bed" (a good exercise in alternating E major and minor type barre chord transitions), I couldn't help compare the attempt at seduction. I must say, Nick's comes in as rather comical. But I'm not surprised as this is one ...
