Anybody else excited about this?

SO I haven't posted in a while, been busy with work and new years resolutions (including spending more time playing). Re: Positively humbled

When recording with vocals, do you record the guitar part simultaneously with the vocals, or do you record the guitar, and then record vocals? I feel ...

I agree, his lessons are informative and well presented. I also find that if you just search the song name and the word lesson, any song you could want will most likely have a lesson, and usually the lessons are well done. Just my $0.02.

Re: Improving chord changes, techniques, etc

This method may be frowned upon (I've read never play guitar while watching TV), but when I try to improve speed of a chord change, I will just keep a guitar handy while watching TV at night, and practice the chord change over and over (I don't strum just the left hand part). Only strum every once i...

Re: Magazine suggestions

Thanks Fruend and Bender. I googled some of the mags you mentioned and Guitar World had a free issue offer. So I signed up for it to see if I like it. Anything else out there worth while?

Magazine suggestions

Good evening all, I am in the market to subscribe to a guitar magazine of some sort. There are a lot out there and I was hoping to get some input on what you guys and girls like/dislike. I am hoping for a magazine with more than just monthly tab, possibly something with excercises or quick lessons (...

Re: Looks like they are FINALLY going to replace it!

I remember reading about the ex, hope that all straightened it self out. As far as the new guitar, sounds like things are starting to swing back to your favor. Merry Christmas and a pre-emptive Happy New Year!

First things first Doesn't winter up north really suck? I used to live in Syracuse, NY and I thought the same thing, however now as a resident of Maryland, I kinda miss th snow. Not the shoveling, but the snow was nice. Down to business... Some of you may remember this... http://www.guitarnoise.com/...

Re: My newest toy update- Soundclip added

Wes,

That sounded absolutely amazing!! I hope someday to sound half as good. Was the drum beat pre recorded or did you do it yourself? If it was pre-recorded, is that part of the features of the recorder?

Re: B minor cord

for my two cents play the 5 string version (at least try to).

Code: Select all

e|--2----
B|--3----
G|--4----
D|--4----
A|--2----
E|--x----
You'll thank yourself later when you try to learn barre chords. If you can't though, there's no crime in baby steps.

Re: The shame.....

On the flip side, at my old apartment the guy below me seemed to make a habit of drumming to "Living on a Prayer" at 1AM (I get up at 4 for work). It wouldn't be so bad if he didn't suck at it. I never called the cops, but I did bang on the door and informed him where I'd shove his drum sticks if he...
