Re: Download Uproar: Record Industry Goes After Personal Use

Journalism majors, in the USA, year after year, are jockeying for having the lowest average SAT scores of any graduating class, along with education majors. The question was asked, "What do journalism majors do in school?" One thing they learn is that you don't state "facts" such as the one above w...

Re: Plenty to Lose

To resurrect this thread once again.....how's everybody doing on their fitness programs? I'm walking three miles a day on the treadmill--it's a time commitment at 50 minutes, plus 10 minutes to stretch beforehand. I had some old knee problems cropping up until a friend reminded me to faithfully stre...

Re: Giving up smoking - again.....

How about an update? Has everyone who quit "stayed quit?" I wish the blanket non-smoking regulations would spread further, faster. Two nearby cities have non-smoking ordinances that cover most restaurants unless they make more than a certain percentage of their profits from alcohol, in which case th...

Re: Whats Up

Like Elecktrablue, I'm spending T-Day alone, having potato soup and a one-apple-crisp.

UNlike Geoo, I'm NOT blowing off homework, which is why I stayed home.

Re: National Vegetarian Day...

OK, Smokindog, here is one of my favorite recipes. You could add soy burger crumbles (Morningstar Grillers Recipe Crumbles, for one) to the red sauce, or even some ground chuck, ground round or Italian sausage, if you must. I'm sure Vic wants to try it, too, so I'll post it here: Tofu Stuffed Pasta ...

Re: National Vegetarian Day...

Remember, every day is vegetarian day if you're a vegetarian.... And I will point out that not only is today National Vegetarian Day, but just the first day of World Vegetarian Month. :P I'm not vegetarian, but my daughter is, so I eat that way often. Tofu is soy curd and has very little taste real...

Well then I won't share my recipe for Tofu Stuffed Pasta Shells. Or the Herb-Crusted Fried Tofu with Mushroom Gravy, or Layered Taco Casserole with Soy Burger, or Chocolate Tofu Pudding....

Re: New GN Layout

I view the forum in a window that is slightly smaller than the full monitor screen. The old layout adjusted itself to fit within the window, but this one doesn't, so I have to scroll left and right to read and access all the buttons. Also, I use a shared computer so I login and logout every time I v...

Re: New GN Layout

I agree about needing more contrast. I feel like I'm squinting to focus and that was not a problem for me with the previous layout. This is not very readable for me. I don't care for the avatars on the right, either. Being a reader and writer of English, I'm accustomed to left-to-right orientation, ...

My dog, “Arpeggio” (wiping tears away from face) loves music. He loves to hear me play and sadly, can not experience the full spectrum of sound due to the limitations of my collection. Look at his face….Awwww http://upload2.postimage.org/614444/588650_sad_pet.jpg I urge you to make a donation...

I always keep my electrics in the case. Is that overkill? I used to put my guitars away in the case after every playing, but any more I've usually got one or two guitars out on stands and the others in cases. Every couple days I rotate which guitar(s) is out, and thus which gets played. All I have ...
